Citroen to double production of DS3 Racing model
Citroen will be extending production of the limited edition DS3 Racing model by an additional 1,000 units.
With the model selling well, Citroen Racing is looking to have more on hand to sell to customers. But the production may run even beyond the total of 2,000 units as Citroen Racing head Olivier Quesnel wants even more units made given the demand for the car.
The DS3 comes with a 1.6 liter THP engine (direct-injection, turbocharged) with an output of 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. It features tighter steering, a track widened by 30 mm over the standard DS3, both for the front and back, and a stiffened suspension which lowers the car by 15 mm over the stock model.
The Citroen DS3 Racing was release last year and made its debut at the Geneva auto show in 2010.
